July 14, 2024

The young men at the Zoharim Youth Village have had a summer of meaningful adventures, hard work, and fun.
After a year of war and anxiety, it meant a lot for them to be able to maintain a routine, stay grounded, and calm.

The past year has been full of stress, fear, and grief. It is important to give our boys a sense of normalcy to keep them grounded and calm.
This is why your support is vital to us, especially now, when summertime could mean being on the streets for many teens.

Thank you for making this a time that has strengthened and reinvigorated them!
They are going back to school with stronger connections and a sense of purpose!

Caring for Animals on the Farm

Several new goats and sheep were born at the youth village which was an an amazing experience for the young men caring for them! These experiences are invaluable for our teens who are learning the values of hard work, responsibility, and how to care for other living creatures. They were very touched to witness the miracle of life!

Archeological Dig on Campus

They also had an incredible “only in Israel” opportunity to conduct an archeological dig right on our Youth Village campus! One of the teens even found an ancient coin dating back thousands of years!

The youth were delighted to be a part of uncovering this piece of history. It was an incredible reminder of their Jewish heritage and the close connection they have to the land of Israel.

Paintball Fun!

The Zoharim campus is so vast that it then became the perfect setting for a day of paintball! The teens had a blast running around and enjoying the freedom of being outdoors.

You’ve given them the opportunity to have a breath of fresh air, to find some joy and comfort when they truly need it most. These memories will change the way they remember the war, and the resilience from these experiences will stay with them for the rest of their lives.

The teens got out all their youthful energy and had a blast, all thanks to you! These memories will change the way they remember the war, and they'll have this resilience with them for the rest of their lives.
