Before Pesach, teens were out shopping, packing, and delivering food to the needy

Every year, during this busy Pesach season, Migdal Ohr runs a massive food distribution campaign called “Chag Saveah”, meaning a “full holiday” in Hebrew.

This year, when people have received so many donations, the national campaign is distributing food vouchers so that they could go shopping themselves, with dignity.

However, that did not stop our youth groups from running a mini-food drive for the needy and homebound residents of their cities and towns. They also worked closely with various local agencies to identify and deliver packages to families directly affected by the events of Oct 7th.

These young men and women have worked around the clock to purchase, package, and deliver boxes of Pesach essentials in the weeks leading up to the holiday.

Participating youth branches included:

  • Ashdod
  • Kiryat Gat
  • Yavne
  • Beer Sheva
  • Gan Yavne
  • Kiryat Ekron
  • Jerusalem
  • Netanya
  • Herziliya
  • Hadera
  • Givat Olga
  • Porat
  • Kadima
  • Elyachin
  • Achituv

Teens also made a special visit to the grounds of the Nova Festival and handed out matzot to people visiting the site in the merit of all those who were murdered there and the safe return of the hostages.

At an age when so much is focused on yourself, these teens make us hopeful for the future.

They are already the leaders that we need to light the way!
