In the middle of a war, the Ohr Yisraeli youth movement organized a national Laws of Shabbat Competition, bringing together hundreds of teens from all corners of Israel. This showcased not just the incredible organization and dedication of the teens, but also the power of Shabbat to bring light and hope in even the darkest of times.
It was more than just a contest; teens of all backgrounds came together to celebrate Jewish learning, tradition, and the unwavering spirit of Am Yisrael. Many of the teens have little to no background in Judaism so their participation in contest was the culmination of weeks of study and hard work.
Rabbi Grossman was there to congratulate the winners and took pride in all the participants who had prepared for the competition. He said, "Strengthening Shabbat observance is a great merit for Am Yisrael - especially in these days!"
The Ohr Yisraeli Youth Movement has been a force of light and learning across Israel. This national competition is just one of the many examples of how our youth have faced of adversity throughout the war. They are proudly carrying the torch of their ancestors by growing up to be knowledgeable Jews living in the land of Israel.
Your support is giving us hope for a better future and constantly building the next generation of leaders!
