Nearly 1,000 young women from all over Israel joined us for an Ohr Yisraeli shabbaton (weekend retreat) in Jerusalem last week! Ohr Yisraeli is Migdal Ohr's youth movement with over 160 branches from the north to the south of Israel.

It was a weekend full of inspiration, as the teens got to meet peers from all over the country and discuss their feelings and experiences during the war. Speakers talked about how to develop resilience through challenging times and to manage fear and anxiety.

The mentors created fun days full of swimming and activities that left the girls feeling refreshed and pampered! It was a huge treat for them to stay at a hotel with delicious buffets and amenities and they were so grateful for the opportunity for a true vacation this summer.

This was the largest Ohr Yisraeli girls' shabbaton to date, and it sparked many ideas about what else the young women could do together.

Judging by the friendships that were formed, it looks like there might be many new national projects ahead for the girls of Ohr Yisraeli!
